Hi, I'm kirsten

Hey there, I’m Kirsten, Minnesota Wedding Photographer

When I am not taking pictures you can find me working from home with my favorite office partner (our Goldendoodle Elle!), wandering a local antique store or going on adventures with my handsome husband Billy and our son, Deegan.

I love photography because it captures life and tells a story for years to come. My style is relaxed and joyful with a documentary approach. I'm inspired by beautiful light, meaningful details and raw emotions.

Photographer, Hopeless Romantic, Taco lover and Adventure Seeker.

Hey there! I'm Kirsten, married to the greatest guy I know, mother to a spunky little boy and likely found in comfy sweaters, worn out flats and sipping Diet Coke. I love to help others through blogging what I'm passionate about, travel, beauty and photography. And so many days a year I'm lucky enough to follow around amazing couples with my camera, creating photos that will last a lifetime.

Most days you can find me at our home in Minnesota but if I'm not there I'm probably at the hockey rink cheering on my little guy. I'm a book worm, yogi, wine lover and traveler.  In college I received a bachelors of science in nursing which landed me at the hospital working as a registered nurse. Are you suddenly confused and wondering how in the world I became a photographer? Click below to find out!

my photography story

registered nurse turned wedding photographer

After the birth of my son in 2011, I became more serious about learning photography and capturing his childhood. So I did what many moms do, I bought a nice camera and started snapping away. That camera never left my side and lit a creative fire inside of me that has allowed me to capture his childhood beyond my iPhone camera.

As I began posting photos I had taken, I started getting requests for sessions which lead me to start my business. In 2015 I fell head over heels in love with wedding photography and quit nursing to chase my dreams.
