Jamie and Kyle got married back in October at Clearwater Event Center. These two met through mutual friends four years ago, but they have officially been together now for three years. They have two dogs, a Basenji and a Weiner dog mix. If you didn’t know, I am a huge fan of dogs and I have two Goldendoodles! Unfortunately, because of Covid-19, some of their wedding plans had to change, but thankfully they were still able to get married on their original wedding date. I’m so happy their wedding day still came together. Their day was lovely and they’re just the sweetest couple!
My day started with photographing the bridal details and I learned that Jamie actually had her Grandmother’s hanky sewn to the inside of her wedding dress. How sentimental is that?! I love and appreciate it when my couples have special touches like this throughout their wedding day.
Jamie decided to do a first look with her bridesmaids, and it was so cute to see all of their faces light up when they saw her! They all grinned from ear to ear because their friend looked amazing. Afterwards, Jamie walked outside to do a first look with her groom. When Kyle turned around and saw Jamie standing there, he smiled, and quickly embraced her with a hug. He then had to check out the dress and even made her do a little twirl!
It can be chilly in Minnesota in October, so they provided blankets to anyone who was cold. Such a thoughtful idea! During the ceremony, they had a sand unity ceremony that mixed between the two colors, black and white, representing the two becoming one.
We captured some portraits of them by the lake, which always makes for a great setting! Seeing the water makes me miss warm weather. After their portraits, we headed into their fun reception. The two of them decided to play the shoe game, which always leads to lots of laughs from your guests! They danced the night away as a happily married couple.
I am so happy for both of you and I am so grateful that I was able to photograph your wedding at Clearwater Event Center! Check out some of my favorites.
