Back in September, I photographed Jenna and Josh’s fall wedding in Michigan. They met at Michigan State University and are both HUGE fans. Many of their guests are fans as well, and came to par-tay!!! I could immediately tell it was going to be a great day!

Our day started by capturing pictures of Jenna and her bridesmaids with the water as their backdrop. The bridesmaids’ dresses looked stunning against the water. We then grabbed some pictures of Josh and his groomsmen, as they enjoyed some guy time. Their ceremony was at Saints Peter & Paul Lutheran Church in Houghton, Michigan. After these two made it official, we hopped on a party bus to the reception to get the party started!  

The reception was outside at Waterfront Restaurant Pavilion. This venue had a flawless view of the iconic Houghton Bridge. The fall weather was simply perfect on this special day. With the leaves changing, the river, and the bridge in the background, it made for some dreamy portraits! Their reception was so much fun and laid back! Instead of having the traditional wedding cake, they had a yummy dessert bar filled with all kinds of goodies!

When Jenna and Josh shared their first dance as a married couple, I just couldn’t help but think how magical it looked! They had twinkling lights and water behind them, and their loving family and friends admiring them from afar, and it truly was a memorable moment. Once open dancing began, the real party started! As you can tell by the pictures, their guests had such a fun time on the dance floor. At sunset, we snuck out for some more photos. We chose to take advantage of the Houghton Bridge in the background since that has so much meaning to their love story. They both have a fun, adventurous spirit that made photographing them even more fun! 

Josh and Jenna were overflowing with joy during their wedding day! I’m pretty sure Jenna’s smile never left her face. I loved being able to photograph this fall wedding in Michigan for them!
