Our Grand Canyon Engagement

Last Thursday while in Las Vegas, Billy brought me on a helicopter ride into the Grand Canyon. The tour included views of Lake Mead, Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon with a landing in the canyon for a picnic! It was an unbelievable view and I was snapped pictures from the helicopter like crazy, I was so busy taking photos that I didn’t notice how nervous he was or the ring box in his shorts. When the helicopter landed in the canyon we continued taking photos of the beautiful view. We stopped at this gorgeous spot and he asked me to put my camera down and watch a video that Deegan had sent us. The video was Deegan asking me to marry his dad! When the video ended I turned around and he was on one knee asking me to be his wife! Of course I said yes with tear filled eyes, I was in shock and so excited! After the proposal we celebrated with champagne before getting back into the helicopter to finish our tour.

The proposal was so romantic and so perfect! I was so happy he included Deegan even though he couldn’t be there.

Our helicopter tour was with Sundance Helicopters. They had an amazing staff and excellent service! The flights were very smooth with education commentary. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to experience the Grand Canyon!
