Jase and Reed got SO muddy at the cabin!

This weekends weather was AMAZING! When people ask why I live in Minnesota, weekends like this are exactly why I stay. There really isn’t anything better than a Minnesota summer… Okay I’m jumping ahead. Minnesota spring (let’s hope summer is almost here!) We spent our weekend at the cabin and cleaning up the yard.  As you can see from above, we had an awesome weekend filled with laughs. We took the four wheeler and Ranger out to the cabin, got super muddy and ate SO much! We learned that cooking with charcoal isn’t as easy as it looks and the lake is still crazy cold. All the boys had a blast. Check out Jase and Reed getting muddy.. They were PURE entertainment.

I always get SUPER excited this time of year because I know my gardening days are so close! Deegan even helped me clean the garden and we worked a DIY project! Last fall I spotted some old metal furniture at the work shop. It has a vintage feel with metal flowers. I started dreaming up re-painting them and adding new cushions. Yesterday we started that project and I am so excited to show everyone. I am feeling super thrifty 😉

Today, we are watching a movie, hiding inside from the chilly weather and possibly going cushion shopping. I may have to make another batch of soup from Chrissy Teigans book “Cravings”.. the pot pie soup is to die for! Okay and the Gnocchi.. and the potatoes.. and the green beans.. you get the idea. This cookbook is the best.

We were hoping for some more spring weather today but no luck! Maybe later this week! What did you do to enjoy the beautiful weekend?!
