It’s hard for me to put into words Kate and Mychal’s wedding day. These two thoughtfully planned their wedding from halfway across the country so that they could begin their marriage in Mychal’s hometown of Ely. Kate is from Maryland and their families and friends came from all over the world to watch this special day unfold. There is so much love for these two and its not hard to see why. If you ever met Kate and Mychal you would adore them too. They are two of the most kind hearted people I have had the chance to know and their love for each other is undeniable.

The waves were lapping on the beach and a breeze was blowing through the pines. Acoustic music played over the speaker and Kate began down the aisle to marry the man of her dreams. She hugged her dad tight and stepped onto the stage smiling at Mychal. The moment they had been planning for over a year was finally here and their smiles couldn’t hide their excitement. The breeze perfectly picked up Kates veil as they shared their first kiss and it could not have been more picture perfect.

The evening was spent dancing, laughing and enjoying their company. Of course I did pull them away for a bit so that we could capture some canoe photos and allow them to spend some time together as husband and wife. As I was setting up for canoe photos I had them walk down the beach and without any direction Mychal swooped her up and carried her down the beach. My heart melted, I can’t even handle how adorable they are.
