Duluth is such a beautiful city and the perfect backdrop for the start of a love story. Laura and Eric are UMD alumni’s and college sweethearts. They chose to come back to Duluth for their wedding because it’s part of their story and they love the natural beauty of the area.
The first time Eric met Laura’s family was at her sisters wedding before they “officially” started dating. Laura’s grandma walked around introducing Eric as Laura’s husband! Laura told me she must have been predicting the future! This past Saturday the newlyweds laughed about it while her grandma told the story during their reception.
These two have passions for dogs, beer and traveling the world. While on a trip to Ireland last year they visited the Guinness Brewery and afterwards Eric got down on one knee and asked Laura to be his wife. She said it was a complete surprise and so perfect for them!
Their wedding day took place at Northland Country Club in Duluth. They said their vows at a beautiful spot overlooking the golf course with Lake Superior peeking through in the background. Laura wore her mothers pearls that both of her sisters wore on their wedding daysBeing dog lovers, they made sure to include their dog Zane who was named “best dog”. For the record, he really was the best dog and so sweet!
Laura & Eric, thank you so much for asking me to be a part of your wedding day. It was truly an honor! I’m so happy for you two and wish you a lifetime of love!
