The wind was coming off the lake but the forecasted rain was no longer a threat to Saturday’s outdoor ceremony at Grand View Lodge. Trying to keep warm I buttoned my jacket and walked along a rock path to Paige’s cabin. Along the way I found Cody sitting on the deck outside of his cabin, with a slight shake in his voice he was reading out loud the sweetest handwritten love letter from Paige. Coming up the stairs I saw Paige through the window, sipping chilled mimosas with her closest girlfriends and the most adorable flower girls. After a giant hug and major congrats I began documenting their day filled with so much love, laughter and happy tears.

Paige was holding onto her father when she stepped onto the stairs leading her down the grand staircase to her almost husband. The flowerbeds were bright with colors and the glittery bridesmaid dresses sparkled in the breeze. She met Cody at the end of the aisle under an arbor covered in florals and held his hands, the moment they had been waiting for was finally here. Stepping behind the arbor they mixed together sand from Reed Lake Minnesota and Laguna Beach California, symbolizing their roots and mixing them as one. Heading back down the aisle, these newlyweds were smiling ear to ear and ready to celebrate!

The room went quiet and everyone turned to look at the head table, decorated with thick greenery and sparkling gold accents. Paige’s dad was standing, holding the microphone, adjusting his glasses and preparing for his speech. Paige was sitting with her new husband, smiling at her father when he began to talk about his little girl moving across the country and how she found the man of her dreams. He stopped and turned to Cody’s parents, thanking them for loving his little girl and being so kind to her. Misty eyed behind my camera I could see nothing but love in that room. Paige’s move from California to Minnesota put many miles between her and her family but Cody’s family welcomed her with opened arms and now she is officially a Jackson.

Paige and Cody, I have absolutely loved getting to know you both over the last year and I couldn’t be more excited for the two of you! Congrats!!
