I had the pleasure of meeting up with Sam and JT for their engagement session in Cambridge, Minnesota. It was great getting to capture their playful side with each other! I love when my couples adventurous sides appear during a shoot.

These two officially met online. Sam told me that while JT was in his deer stand watching for deer, instead he was swiping away on Bumble and up popped her profile! They talked constantly, each and every day. Sam knew that he was a good one! She had even told her friends “he’s definitely someone you want to marry and spend your life with.” 

JT decided to take Sam back to her hometown to look at the pretty fall leaves that had been changing. Palisade Head in the fall is absolutely gorgeous. Sam thought they were there just for the leaves, but little did she know what was about to happen! JT even had one of his friends hiding to photograph this special moment. Since Sam knows what kind of car their friend drives, he rented a car so that she wouldn’t catch on that he was there. When it was time to finally pop the question, JT took Sam out on one of the points on the cliff and got down on one knee. Sam quickly said yes! She believes her exact words were, “Well yeah, you dummy! Now get me off this cliff!”

Sam said JT is the sweetest soul, her best friend and number one support system! She and her son Brody moved towns to be with JT. They’ve adopted two loving crazy dogs and a baby lizard. They enjoy spending time outdoors, motocross and family time.

Sam is a good friend of mine who I met through a mutual friend a few years ago. She has a son who is around the same age as my son. The boys always have a blast together, so we brought them along to the session so they could play together. 

Their wedding is in August in Isanti, MN and I am so excited for their wedding! I know it will be amazing.
