“She sells seashells on the sea shore”…

The trip to Sanibel and Captiva Islands yesterday was awesome. After a big storm down here in Florida a lot of seashells wash up onto the beach. After the stories we have been hearing we decided to take the trip and go pick some ourselves!

When we arrived at Captiva we decided to grab lunch at The Mucky Duck which happens to be world famous. Now I was thinking maybe it was just famous because of the prime location (Right on the Gulf) but I was wrong.. the food was amazing! There were seven of us in the group and no one had one complaint. The service was also great, our server was a total sweetheart.

While we waited for our table at the Mucky Duck we decided to check the beach out. There were so many Conch Shells! I would have posted a photo of ours but we are in the process of polishing them.(I’ll add pics later) Shell picking was a blast and Deegan had the greatest time!

Sanibel and Captiva never fail to disappoint. If you ever get a chance to visit, don’t pass it up!

Today we are off to the pool to soak up a few more rays before heading to Minnesota!
