Belize Days 8-12

This part of the trip was incredible. I am summing it up into one post because I hate to bore you with every minor detail but I’d like to share with you a glimpse on what happened these days.

7 different schools, 54 classrooms and over 1300 children were educated on health topics. Ranging from dental hygiene to cold and flu. We interacted with children and we were welcomed with open arms. Literally.

On the second day of teaching I had a moment unlike any other. A little boy greeted me with a handshake after my presentation. As I went to shake his hand more children started coming near me.. I was surround by children all wanting hugs. I was teary eyed and overwhelmed with love. The children had so little in their life but had more love than I have ever seen. It was incredible.

We built a covered shelter, donated over 1000 boots and shared our knowledge amount the villages. This trip was life changing and I am incredibly grateful for the support from all my family and friends. I hope I have this opportunity again one day and when I do I hope to share it with my family.
